Olivia Stagnaro

California based Marriage and Family Therapist
M.A. Clinical Psychology, CA LMFT #138442

Welcome to a practice where nuanced understanding meets deep professional commitment. I am a therapist with a unique vantage point—rooted in bi-racial and bi-cultural experiences—that enrich my approach to therapy. My work is especially resonant with Latiné, Jewish, queer, and/or disabled and chronically ill individuals striving to thrive amid the complexities of their identities.

Drawing upon a rich tapestry of personal insights and a sophisticated understanding of social dynamics, my practice is dedicated to fostering a space where the multifaceted aspects of your identity are acknowledged and celebrated. Your complexities are your strength! Even if they feel confusing right now. We delve into the subtleties of discrimination and identity with the aim of promoting not just healing, but a profound sense of self-empowerment.

Our sessions are designed to be a collaborative exploration, where your experiences are validated and your voice is central. The goal is to cultivate an environment that not only recognizes but enriches your unique perspective, offering tools and strategies that align with your values and aspirations.

In this space, we reject one-size-fits-all solutions (you'll never do a worksheet in here 🤢), embracing instead the complexity of your experiences to foster resilience, acceptance, and growth. Together, we engage in a thoughtful examination of the societal constructs that influence (read "suppress") personal identity, equipping you with the insights to navigate and reshape these narratives on your own terms.

Join me in a commitment to, not just personal growth, but to a deeper understanding of the interplay between individual identity and broader societal forces. Let's work together towards a more empowered, integrated sense of self, illuminated by the knowledge that your unique contributions enrich the fabric of our community.

Services

Individual Psychotherapy & Couples work
Consulting: Practice building, networking and marketing for therapists and coaches
Non-therapeutic groups: Jewish Meditation, Womens circles (contact directly for information or to book a private group)
Womens and non-binary process retreats

My expertise has developed largely into a focus on intersectionality. It can be difficult to develop confidence and a felt sense of identity when you have multiple identifying factors. Jewish and queer? Multi-national? Interfaith family? Adopted as an older kid? Young and sober? Career driven and disabled? Sometimes our identities don't fit cleanly into a box, but my work focuses on helping you feel fully comfortable in all of your identifying factors.  I work with individuals, couples, families and groups.
